Municipal Court
The purpose of the Alton Municipal Court is to provide a fair, neutral and courteous administration of justice by providing accessible, efficient, impartial and well reasoned resolution of all court cases with a focus on customer service.
This court has original jurisdiction over fine-only offenses and exclusive jurisdiction over charges that occur within the jurisdiction of the court. The Judge is also a magistrate of the State of Texas, which means he or she can set bonds on other offenses above a Class “C” Misdemeanor.

Court sessions are held at 509 S Alton Blvd. (middle entrence between City Hall & Police Department) Tuesdays & Thursdays at 2:00p.m.
Court Clerks office is open Monday – Friday, 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m., closed 11:00a.m.-12:00p.m.
